Our Story
Guardian Peak wines were conceived in 1998 by Jean Engelbrecht, who combined his knowledge and understanding of international wine markets with his experience and involvement at his family wine estate, Rust en Vrede in Stellenbosch. The objective was to create a range of wines that should be accessible to the consumer in both style and price. Grapes for Guardian Peak are sourced from the Breedekloof and Stellenbosch appellations where we enjoy long-term contracts with respected growers. More importantly, we view our contracts as relationships whereby both parties benet mutually.
Two decades later and our beliefs remain to produce approachable, sustainable wines of consistent quality allowing our consumer to experience value and enjoy them as often as we do.
Restaurant
The Guardian Peak Winery and Restaurant opened in December 2005, and since then, has been a popular destination in the winelands of Stellenbosch.
